8.8 Commands for Equal-cost Multiple-path (ECMP)

8.8.1 load-balance

Command: load-balance [utilization <1-100>] no load-balance [utilization] Function: Enable load-balancing. Configuring load-balancing can help a user fully utilize every radio. The no command disables this function and restores the default configuration.
Parameter:

  • utilization <1-100>: defines the maximum load-balancing percentage for every radio.

Default: Disable (60% with utilization).
Command mode: Radio Configuration Mode
Usage guide: Enable load-balancing and load-balance percentage parameters through this command for load-balancing flexibility.
Example: Enable load-balance function and configure the percentage as 70%.

8.8.2 maximum-paths

Command: maximum-paths<1-32>
no maximum-paths
Function: This command is used to configure the maximum-paths which support the equivalence multi-paths. The no command restores the default configuration.
Parameter:

  • <1-32>: multi-paths can be configured from 1 to 32. When 1 is configured, it disables the ECMP function. The actual configuration number is the power of 2 and is bigger than the user input value.

Command mode: Global Mode
Default: 4.
Usage guide: This command is used to configure the maximum-paths which support the equivalence multi-paths.
Example: Configure the maximum-paths of the equivalence multi-paths to 8.
