Commands for load-balance

14.1 ap load-balance template

Command: ap load-balance template <1-16>
no ap load-balance template

Function: Create the load-balance template. The no command will delete the load-balance template.
Parameters:

  • <1-16>: template ID number.

Command mode: Wireless Global Configuration Mode
Default: Template is 1.
Usage guide: In wireless global configuration mode, use the ap load-balance template <1-16> command to enter the load-balance template configuration mode; if the template does not exist, then the system creates the load-balance template first. Users cannot delete the template 1, which is the default.
Example: Create load-balance template 1.

active500EM(config-wireless)#ap load-balance template 1
active500EM(config-load-balance)#

14.2 debug wireless load-balance internal

Command: debug wireless load-balance internal <macaddr>
no debug wireless load-balance internal <macaddr>

Function: Enable or disable the internal switch of the AC load-balance function.
Parameters:

  • <macaddr>: AP MAC address

Command mode: Admin Mode
Default: None.
Usage guide: If the internal switch of the AC load-balance function is enabled, it will show a message when the AP load-balance function is enabled or an AP rejects a client connection because the function is enabled; otherwise, it will not show the message.
Example: Enable the internal switch of the AC load-balance function.

active500EM#debug wireless load-balance internal F8-F7-D3-00-03-60

14.3 load-balance

Command: load-balance {session | traffic}
no load-balance

Function: Enable the load-balance function. The no command will disable this function.
Parameters:

  • session: session mode.
  • traffic: traffic snapshot mode.

Command mode: Load-Balance Configuration Mode
Default: Disabled.
Usage guide: Enable the load-balance function and the corresponding load-balance mode.
Example: Enable the load-balance function.

active500EM(config-load-balance)#load-balance session
active500EM(config-load-balance)#load-balance traffic

14.4 load-balance denial

Command: load-balance denial {<0-10> | unlimited}
no load-balance denial

Function: Configure the number of times the AP rejects the client before the AP receiving the association request of the client enables the load-balance function. The no command will restore the number to the default value.
Parameters:

  • <0-10>: number of times the AP rejects the client connection request.
  • unlimited: Setting it to unlimited sets the client association denial threshold to an unlimited value.

Command mode: Load-Balance Configuration Mode
Default: 3 times.
Usage guide: Configure the number of times the AP rejects the client before the AP receiving the association request of the client enables the load-balance function.
Example: Set the time to 4 for the AP rejecting the client before the AP receiving the client association request.

active500EM(config-load-balance)#load-balance denial 4

14.5 load-balance session window threshold

Command: load-balance session window <1-256> threshold <1-8>
no load-balance session

Function: Configure the threshold of the clients associated with the AP, and configure the threshold of the associated clients. The association is between this AP, which the client is associated with, and other APs in the load-balance group. The no command is used to restore the default value.
Parameters:

  • <1-256>: the threshold of clients that the AP can be associated with when enabling load-balance.
  • <1-8>: the threshold number of clients associated, which is between this AP and other APs in the load-balance group.

Command mode: Load-Balance Configuration Mode
Default: Default threshold of the clients the AP can be associated with is 15, when load-balance is enabled. Default number of clients associated between this AP and other APs in the load-balance group is 4.
Usage guide: Configure the threshold number of clients that can be associated with the AP, and configure the number of clients associated between this AP and other APs in the load-balance group.
Example: Configure the threshold number of clients that the AP can associate with as 35. Configure number of clients associated between this AP and other APs in the load-balance group as 8.

active500EM(config-load-balance)#load-balance session window 35 threshold 8

14.6 load-balance template

Command: load-balance template <1-16>
no load-balance template

Function: Set the load-balance template for the specified AP configuration template. The no command will delete the load-balance template of the AP configuration template.
Parameters:

  • <1-16>: template ID number.

Command mode: AP Profile Configuration Mode
Default: The default load-balance template is empty.
Usage guide: When users input the above command, the system sets the load-balance configuration template for the specified AP configuration template or sets the load-balance template referenced by the current AP configuration template as null. If the specified template does not exist, the system will show an error and return.
Example: Set the load-balance template 2 for specified AP configuration template.

active500EM(config-ap-profile)#load-balance template 2

14.7 load-balance traffic window threshold

Command: load-balance traffic window <1-100> threshold <1-100>
no load-balance traffic

Function: Configure the data traffic threshold on the AP. The no command is used to restore the default value.
Parameters:

  • <1-100>: the data traffic threshold on the AP when enabling the load-balance; the unit is Mbps.
  • <1-100>: the difference of data flow threshold between this AP that the client is associated with and the other APs in the load-balance group; the unit is Mbps.

Command mode: Load-Balance Configuration Mode
Default: Default maximum throughput threshold on the AP is 60Mbps when enabling the load-balance. Default difference of data flow threshold between current AP and the other APs is 20Mbps when enabling the load-balance.
Usage guide: Configure the data traffic threshold on the AP. Also configure the difference of data flow threshold when enabling the load-balance configuration between this AP, the associated client, and other APs in the load-balance group.
Example: Configure the data traffic threshold as 10 on the AP and the difference of data flow threshold between this AP that client is associated with and the other APs as 5 in the load-balance group when enabling the load-balance configuration.

active500EM(config-load-balance)#load-balance traffic window 10 threshold 5

14.8 show wireless ap profile

Command: show wireless ap profile [<1-1024>] Function: Show the detailed information of a profile.
