19.1 AC configuration command
19.1.1 wds-group<1-8>
Function: Adds a WDS AP group configuration based on WDS configuration. The no command deletes the WDS group.
Parameters: <1-8>: the number of WDS AP group.
Default: None
Command mode: Wireless Config
Usage guide: If the WDS AP group does not exist, add a WDS AP group configuration. Enter the WDS AP group configuration mode; it is a rewriteable parameter.
Example: Add a WDS group 1.

19.1.2 group-name <name>
Function: Name the WDS AP configuration group. The no command resets the name of the particular WDS AP group to the default name.
Parameters: <name>: represents the name of WDS AP group; the length is 1-32 characters, including numbers, letters, and special characters/symbols.
Default: WDS-AP-Group-n; n represents the corresponding WDS AP group number.
Command mode: WDS AP Group Config
Usage guide: Configuration of the name of the WDS AP group.
Example: Set the name of the particular group?WDS group1 as abc.

19.1.3 password <password>
Function: Set up the password to connect WDS in the AP of the WDS AP group. The no command resets the password in the WDS AP group to the defaullt: AP- group-n.
Parameters: <password>: represents the WDS AP group password. The length is between 8-63 characters, including numbers, letters, and special characters/symbols.
Default: AP-Group-n; n represents the corresponding WDS AP group number.
Command mode: WDS AP Group Config
Usage guide: This command sets the password to be used in the WDS connection to the WDS AP group.
Example: Set up password of 1234567890 when connecting WDS for the AP of WDS AP group 1.
active500EM(config-wireless)#wds-group 1 active500EM(config-wds-ap-group)#password 1234567890 The valid AP group entry is updated. The new password may disconnect the WDS links that are already connected.
19.1.4 password encrypted <password>
Function: Create an encrypted password for connecting the AP in the WDS AP group.
Parameters: <password>: the WDS AP group configuration encrypted password; the length is 128 characters.
Default: None
Command mode: WDS AP Group Config
Usage guide: Set up the 128 digits encrypted password that is used to connect the WDS AP group.
Example: Set up the 128 digits encrypted password that is used to connect the WDS AP group.

19.1.5 spanning-tree
Command spanning-tree
no spanning-tree
Function Open the spanning tree function on the WDS AP group. The no command represents closing the
spanning tree function on the WDS AP group.
Parameters None
Default Disabled
Command mode WDS AP Group Config
Usage guide This command enables/disables the spanning tree function and saves the configuration to the WDS
configuration database.
Example Enable/disable the spanning tree on the internet.
Open the spanning tree function on the WDS AP group.

Close the spanning tree function on the WDS AP group.

19.1.6 ap <macaddr> [spanning-tree priority <0-61440>] Command ap <macaddr> [spanning-tree priority <0-61440>]

Function Add AP MAC to the WDS AP group.
Parameters [spanning-tree priority <0-61440>]: represents adding priorty value in the STP of the WDS AP group.
The no command represents deleting the existing AP in the particular WDS AP groups.
<macaddr>: MAC address that needs to be added to the WDS AP.
spanning-tree priority <0-61440>: the STP priority value that is added to the WDS AP group's AP
configuration.
Default spanning-tree priority <0-61440> default value is 36864.
Command mode WDS AP Group Config
Usage guide Add 2 AP in the WDS group 1. One of the spanning tree priority values is 5000.
Example Add AP to the WDS group.

Function Set up the WDS connection in the WDS AP group, and set the pathcost value to particular devices. The
no command has two functions: 1. When the parameter [spanning-tree pathcost <0-255>] is entered,
it means that the STP pathcost value has been reset to default. 2. If a parameter is not entered, the no
command entered means that the WDS connection, which has already been set up, should be deleted.
Parameters srcap <macaddr>: MAC address of the AP connected with WDS.
radio <1-2>: the radio signal that the AP uses to connect to WDS.
dstap <macaddr>: the MAC address that is the destination of the WDS connection.
radio <1-2>: radio signal of the AP connected with WDS.
[spanning-tree pathcost <0-255>]: configure particular WDS connection STP pathcost value; this
parameter can be selected as a configuration parameter.
Default parameter spanning-tree pathcost <0-255>.Default value as 40.
Command mode WDS AP Group Config
Usage guide Configure linkage on the WDS group.
Example Both AP: f8-f7-d3-00-03-a0, f8-f7-d3-00-03-60 using radio 1 to build up linkage. The linkage value
spanning-tree pathcost is 233.

19.1.8 peer-switch configuration wds-group
Command peer-switch configuration wds-group
no peer-switch configuration wds-group
Function Send the configuration while the AC transmits. The no command represents not sending the WDS
configuration during the transmission.
Parameters None
Default None
Command mode Wireless Config Mode
Usage guide
Example Transmit WDS on the configuration of the controller.

19.2.1 wireless wds-group network configure
Command wireless wds-group network configure
Function When using this function, save the local WDS configuration, send to the peer switch of the cluster, and
send to the WDS AP in the cluster.
Parameters None
Default None
Command mode Privileged EXEC Mode
Usage guide This command is only saved on the cluster controller.
Example WDS configuration will send to other peer switches in the cluster and will send to the WDS AP in the
cluster.

Command wireless wds-group <1-8> network change-password <password>
Function Set up the new password to the particular cluster’s WDS group configuration.
Parameters <1-8>: the particular WDS AP group number.
<password>: the particular WDS group configuration new password; the length is 8-63 characters.
Default None
Command mode Privileged EXEC Mode
Usage guide This command only saves on the cluster controller.
Example Change the new password to 87654321 in the WDS group 1.

Function Set a new encrypted password in the particular cluster of the WDS AP.
Parameters <1-8>: the particular WDS AP group number.
<password>: the particular WDS group configuration encryption password; the maximum length is 128
characters.

Usage guide This command only saves on the cluster controller.
Example Change the 128 digits encrypted and password of WDS group 1.

Command wireless wds-group <1-8> network change-password start
Function Trigger controller to send the new password and send the message to all facilities in the cluster.
Parameters <1-8>: the group number of the particular WDS AP group.
Default None

Usage guide This command only saves on the cluster controller.
Example Start to use the new password of WDS group 1 configuration.

Function Display the WDS AP group status and statistics message. If designating a particular WDS group, only
the designated WDS group status and statistics message will show.
Parameters <1-8>: the designated WDS AP group number. This parameter is optional.

19.3.5 show wireless wds-group {[<1-8>] ap | <1-8> ap [<macaddr>]} status
Command show wireless wds-group {[<1-8>] ap| <1-8> ap [<macaddr>]} status
Function If both the group WDS AP and the identified AP are not appointed, it will display the associated WDS
AP. If it only designates the WDS AP but not the identified AP, it will display all the WDS AP messages in
the WSD group. If both of the WDS AP group and identified AP are appointed, it will show the particular
WDS AP status message.
Parameters <1-8>: the particular WDS AP group number. This parameter is optional.
<macaddr>: MAC address can be selected; if the MAC address is appointed, it will display the message
for the designated WDS AP.
Default None

Usage guide Query the status of the designated WDS AP; if the MAC address is not included, it will display the
status of all APs.

Command show wireless wds-group [<1-8>] link status
Function Show the WDS connection with all group configuration.
Parameters <1-8>: the particular WDS AP group number. This parameter is optional.
Default None
Command mode Privileged EXEC Mode
Usage guide When the group number of WDS APs in the cluster cannot be appointed, display the WDS connection
for all the configurations in the group. Otherwise, only display the WDS connection for a particular
group.

19.4 Debug Command
19.4.1 [no]debug wireless wds-group {info| error | packet-receive | packet-send}
Command [no]debug wireless wds-group {info| error | packet-receive | packet-send}
Function Open debugging on the WDS module. The no command represents closing debugging on the WDS
module.
Parameters info: open/close the debugging on the WDS function on the AC.
error: open/close the error debugging on the WDS function on the WDS.
packet-receive: open/close debugging while the AC processes the data package that is received from
WDS.
packet-send: open/close debugging while the AC processes the data package that is sent from WDS.
Default Debug information is not open

Command [no]debug wireless wds-group { packet-receive | packet-send} <macaddr>
Function Open debugging on the WDS module, which can show the WDS debug information that the AC
receives and sends to a particular MAC address.
Parameters packet-receive: open/close debugging while the AC processes the data packets that are received
from the WDS.
packet-send: open/close debugging while the AC processes the data packets that are sent from the
WDS.
<macaddr>: the MAC address of the unit that is sending and receiving the message.

19.5 Configuration command on AP
19.5.1 set managed-ap wds-satellite-mode {up|down}
Command set managed-ap wds-satellite-mode {up|down}
Function Setting WDS as satellite status or root AP mode on AP configuration.
Parameters up: represent changing AP status as satellite ap.
Default Down

Usage guide Set the WDS-satellite-mode on the satellite AP to open, and setWDS-satellite-mode to closed on the
root AP. Throughout the set managed-ap wds-satellite-mode, the configuration is WDS on APs as
satellite or root AP mode.
Example Set satellite ap’s wds-satellite-mode as up.

Function Set the password on the fat satellite AP for WDS authentication.

Usage guide Create the password on the satellite ap for the connection. The root ap password is sent by the AC.
The password needs to be the same as the WDS group to create the connection.
Example Create the password as 12345678 that is used for connecting WDS on the satellite ap.
