8. VAP Commands

get vap and set vap commands
This chapter describes commands that can be used to view and set vap information.
NOTE: Results (if any) for ?get vap? commands show both radios (wlan0 & wlan1) for each VAP (Virtual Access Point).
?Set vap? commands change BOTH radios (wlan0 & wlan1) for each VAP (Virtual Access Point). Do not use ?set vap? if you want different values for each radio (e.g., ?set vap description?). Individual radio settings can be set on the GUI interface.

8.1 get vap

Summary of get vap commands.

Function: Display default ACL down.

8.1.13 get vap name

Function: Display the name of the instance only.
Command: get vap name

8.2 set vap

Summary of set vap commands.
Note: ?Set vap? commands change BOTH radios (wlan0 & wlan1) for each VAP (Virtual Access Point). Do not use ?set vap? if you want different values for each radio (e.g., ?set vap description?). Individual radio settings can be set on the GUI interface.

8.2.11 set vap description

Function: Set the description. Valid Value: an ascii string. NOTE: This will set both radios to the same description; use GUI interface to set each radio separately.
Command: set vap description

8.2.12 set vap qos-mode

Function: Set QoS Admin Mode Valid values: ?up? or ?down?.
Command: set vap qos-mode
Example:

ARC2000MAP# set vap vap0 qos-mode down

8.2.13 set vap redirect-mode

Function: Set the redirect mode. Valid values: ?none? or ?http?
Command: set vap redirect-mode
Example:

ARC2000MAP# set vap vap0 redirect-mode none

8.2.14 set vap redirect-url

Function: Set the HTTP URL to redirect to. Valid value: url
Command: set vap redirect-url
Example:

ARC2000MAP# set vap vap0 redirect-url

8.2.15 set vap vap-isolation

Function: Set VAP ISOLATION. Valid value: ?on? or ?off?
Command: set vap vap-isolation
Example:

ARC2000MAP# set vap vap0 vap-isolation off

8.2.16 set vap vlan-id

Function: Set the VLAN ID. Valid value: an integer between 1 and 4094
Command: set vap vlan-id
Example:

ARC2000MAP# set vap vap0 vlan-id 1
